I am a photographer and MA Anthropology student working at the intersection of visual storytelling, cultural research, and documentary practice. My work develops through short- and long-term projects grounded in everyday life, cultural traditions, and contemporary socio-political contexts across Italy, the Mediterranean, Central Asia, and regions shaped by Muslim heritage.

My photographic practice is informed by anthropological research and sustained engagement with place and people. I approach photography as a tool for observation, interpretation, and knowledge production, attentive to context, power dynamics, and lived experience.

*A brief note on my work: I try to capture the shape of the human-made world as seen through my eyes. While I aim to tell human or human-influenced stories, I consciously avoid directly portraying people (except when I have their consent) in a visibly recognizable way or making them the sole focus of my photography. This choice stems from a personal ethical commitment to not appropriate someone’s presence or story without their consent, and avoiding the exploitation or exoticization of people in their context.
